Aug 31, 2005 - Season kickoff BBQ at Hickson Pavilion.
Sept 7, 2005 - First Practice night.
Oct 15, 2005 - Annual concert at Chalmers United Church, along with Musica Sacra Chorus from Norwich.
Nov 6, 2005 - 173'rd Anniversary concert at and for Chalmers United Church, Woodstock.
Nov 19, 2005 - Fundraiser concert at Chedoke Presbyterian Church in Hamilton.
Dec 4, 2005 - Sunday morning service at Maranathe CRC Cambridge.
Dec 7, 2005 - Live recording for appearance on "100 Huntley Street".
Dec 17, 2005 - Christmas concert at St Pauls Presbyterian Church in Ingersoll.
Jan 15, 2006 - Sunday evening service/concert at First Presbyterian Church in Seaforth
Mar 8, 2006 - Participation in funeral service for choir member Wilf Kuipers.
Mar 19, 2006 - Afternoon church service at East CRC in Strathroy.
April 8, 2006 - Fundraiser concert for Operation Sharing, along with the Woodstock Choralaires.
April 29, 2006 - Annual Festival of Praise concert, held in London at the Forest City Community Church.
May 6, 2006 - Fundraiser concert for the Christ Lutheran School, held at Community CRC in Kitchener.
May 10, 2006 - Annual General Meeting, end of choir season.

We recorded a new CD earlier in the year, comprised of a mixture of Christmas and general praise songs. It was released in Oct 2005.

With our organist Anneke getting married soon, we put out the call for a new organist on Nov 5, 2005. This call was soon answered by John Lobbezoo who has been in place since Jan 2006.

The choir appeared on the Christian TV program 100 Huntley Street, recorded live in Burlington on Dec 7, 2005.

The first picture is the notice in the Maranatha CRC newsletter (Dec 4, 2005) informing our congregation to watch the show on that Wednesday morning (Dec 7), as the choir will be live. The second is a writeup in the local Woodstock paper "The Sentinel Review" a few days before the taping. Choir member Charlie Ward was the primary person who arranged for the choir to appear on 100 Huntley Street. The choir had to be at the studio around 6:00 AM to get prepped (including makeup!) for the 9:00 AM taping. It was a great experience! |
