May 18, 2005
The Men In Praise male choir festival was as successful as it could be, considering the entire day was a snow storm. The storm limited the audience to a few hundred, but musically it was very good. The choir is now on a summer break, and will start up August 31, 2005 with a barbeque at the Hickson community park and pavilion. Regular rehearsals start on Sept 7 at 8:00PM at Chalmers United Church, Woodstock.

We are already getting close the end of our regular season. The choir participated in a wonderful concert in Cambridge at Forward Baptist Church on March 5, which was a fundraiser for the Christian grade and high schools in Cambridge. Now we are looking forward to the Male Choral Festival in April, which will be in Goderich this year. See the schedule page for more info.

The Christmas CD recording session is over! A big thank-you to all the members for coming out and making the sessions a big success.
Dec 29, 2004:
Our last of three Christmas Concerts of the year 2004 was held on Dec 18 in Ingersoll. The choir wishes everybody a very blessed Christmas, and looks forward to the holidays. We start 2005 with a Christmas CD recording from Jan 4-6, and we hope to have this CD ready by Sept for the 2005-2006 singing season.
Aug 26, 2004:
The season kickoff barbeque was held last night and we had a great turnout. Rain was forecast for the afternoon/evening, but it held off. Kudos to those who organized the event this year, as well as all the members that brought salads/desserts. It was good food and good fellowship. We hope to see all of you in a week for the first practice. There were also pictures taken so look for them coming soon on the gallery page.
Also, the business cards and letterhead are printed and have been given to the board for dispersal. This has been a busy summer, and all the effort will be well worth it!

The website http://www.woodstockmenofpraise.com is finally live! E-mail to info@woodstockmenofpraise.com also works. Things are finally coming together. However, there's still more content to complete.

At our last executive meeting, the board adopted a motion to present the choir on the web, and to provide a more consistent business image. The web site design is coming along. The domain name WOODSTOCKMENOFPRAISE.COM has been registered, and are now looking for a permanent home for this site and our e-mail address. A PO box has also been rented for all regular ground mail. Business cards and letterhead will follow shortly.
May 2004:
Another season has come to an end, and no small amount of thanks goes to our interim director Johann Van Ittersum. It took some time for everyone to grow accustomed to each other, but his style and professionalism were appreciated by all under his directorship. We completed the season in style at the Male Choral Festival at Centennial Hall in London on April 10, 2004 where all of the Western Ontario choirs participated (the Men of Note from Clinton, Sursum Corda from Sarnia, Chatham-Kent Christian Men's Choir from Chatham, St. Thomas & District Male Choir "Crescendo" from St. Thomas and the Men of Praise from Woodstock).
The Men of Praise are now on our summer break, and will reunite on August 25, 2004 for our annual kickoff barbeque at the Hickson community park and pavilion, and rehearsals start on Sept 1 at 8:00PM at Chalmers United Church, Woodstock. Anybody that may happen to read this news tidbit and are considering joining the choir are always welcome to come out for the barbeque evening, as well as the practices.
